Dogtober Fest

DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE RAIN FORECASTED OVERNIGHT ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21,  THE DOGTOBER FEST EVENT PLANNED FOR OCTOBER 22, IS BEING RESCHEDULED AND WILL BE HELD SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29.  Even though the weather will most likely be nice during the day on the 22nd, the excessive rain will make it impossible to park cars and in the grassy lot.  We ask for your understanding and hope to see you next Sunday!

Admission is free. Please bring a donation for our Dog Food Drive to benefit area animal shelters.

24th Annual Tails for Trails Dog-Walk for Parks

Enjoy a 1-mile walk on a lovely park trail, while benefiting the Kemper Outdoor Education Center and local animal shelters

Contests & Games

Contests and games include Bobbing for Biscuits, Sack Races, Roll-Over Races, Biscuit Eating, Musical Frisbees, Biscuit Toss, Costume Contest, Dog/Owner Look-A-Likes, Biggest Dog and Smallest Dog.  Fun matches include Obedience, Agility and Rally.

AKC Canine Good Citizen certification testing is available throughout the day.


is offered in Dock Diving and Frisbee Catching. Fun Runs and Show & Go  Run-Throughs are offered in Agility, AKC Obedience and Rally.
