About Camp
Take the plunge and discover the fun of Jacomo Summer Camp! We're located on a beautiful 40-acre site nestled in the Fleming Park Nature Preserve on the east side of Lake Jacomom. Campers spend most of their time outside experiencing the wonder of the great outdoors!

Age Requirement
Must be 6-11 years old on camp start date, Monday, June 3, 2024. Campers will be in groups according to their age on June 3, 2024.

Activities
Most activities at Jacomo Summer Camp are outdoors and designed to instill a love of nature and discovery. Each week, campers enjoy canoeing, swimming, archery, fishing, kayaking, hiking, nature study, arts and crafts, and weekly themed field trips. Once a week, we visit one of Jackson County's beautiful beaches! Your camper is ensured to have a great time and make new friends.

Camp T-shirt: $15 - One time fee (must be worn on all field-trip days)
All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Space is only secured after fees are paid in full.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel one week prior to your registered camp week, you will receive a refund of your payment, less a $30 cancellation fee, to the original payment method.
Transfer Fee: $20 fee applied if changing sessions after your child is enrolled.
Registration
Sessions are filled on a first come, first served basis by age group. Early registration is encouraged to insure your child’s space in your desired session. Space will be secured upon receipt of enrollment and payment in full. Jackson County Parks + Rec is excited to offer you the flexibility of registering for Jacomo Summer Camp sessions any time, day or night, with our on-line registration. If your desired session is FULL, call 816-229-8980 to be placed on the waitlist.
How to register:
Step 1: You must have an account
- If you’ve used our on-line registration before, you already have a User Name and Password. If you forgot your user name or password then click on “Forgot Password” and follow the instructions.
- If this is your first time using our On-Line Registration:
- Click on Need an Account
- Complete the form and click Finish
Step 2: Register
- Select your child's age group according to their age on June 3, 2024.
- Choose the weeks you want to register for.
- Register and pay for your preferred weeks.
Step 3: Complete the Required Parent Pack Forms/Profile
After you have registered, please complete the required forms. Your child will not be able to attend camp until we have all this information and have adequate time to process the information. Please return the required forms via:
